Shooting Stars is a specialist learning group for children aged 4 to 7 in Maidstone, focused on building literacy, numeracy, self-help and social emotional skills using syndrome specific approaches. Each session is designed to reflect the individual learning profile of the child, with practical strategies shared so parents can continue learning at home.
Groups run every other Saturday for Term 2, from 17 January 2026 to 28 March 2026, excluding school holidays. Sessions take place at Maidstone Community Support Centre, 39-48 Marsham Street, Maidstone ME14 1HH. The full centre opening hours are 09:00 to 17:00, and individual sessions are one hour long; your precise session time will be confirmed by email after booking.
Parents will be provided with resources and guidance to support progress at home, and school staff are invited to meet the child and observe the strategies used prior to the new school year. The project emphasises teamwork and wider understanding of each child’s learning profile, so more people are able to support development and carry the message forward. This programme offers targeted, practical support for young children and their families in the Maidstone area.
