Sat, 28 Mar 2026 09:00 AM - 10:00 AM

39-48 Marsham St, Maidstone, ME14 1HH

Overview

Shooting Stars is a specialist group for children aged 4 to 7 in Maidstone, using syndrome specific approaches to learning to support literacy, numeracy, self-help and social and emotional skills. Sessions are carefully structured so each child can work at their own pace while benefiting from small-group interaction and practical strategies that families can continue at home. Resources and guidance are provided to parents to reinforce learning between meetings.

The programme runs every other Saturday (excluding school holidays) for Term 2, from 17.01.26 to 28.03.26, at the Maidstone Community Support Centre, 39-48 Marsham Street, Maidstone ME14 1HH. Sessions are one hour long and are scheduled between 09:00 and 17:00; your exact session time will be confirmed by email. School staff are invited to meet the child and observe the techniques used, helping to build consistency between home and school as the child prepares for the next stage in their education.

With team working at its heart, Shooting Stars aims to increase understanding of individual learning profiles and share practical strategies so the benefits extend across family, school and community. The group is ideal for families seeking targeted, supportive learning opportunities for children with syndromes. For full details and booking information, please visit the 21 Together events page.
