Super Star Sessions for children aged 7 to 11 in Maidstone offer focused speech and language support in small, friendly groups. Designed for children with Down's syndrome and others who benefit from targeted social communication work, these sessions are speech therapy led and concentrate on practical skills that help children take part in conversations, build friendships and develop positive relationships.
The groups emphasise social skills, self-awareness and awareness of others alongside language development and socially appropriate behaviour. Each term is topic based to make learning engaging and relevant, with themes such as all about me, relationships, community, time, language for identity and transitions. Activities are planned to complement individual speech programmes so children can practise new skills in a supportive, inclusive environment.
Term 2 runs every other Saturday (excluding school holidays) from 10.01.26 to 07.03.26 at Maidstone Community Support Centre, 39-48 Marsham Street, Maidstone ME14 1HH. Sessions run between 09:00 and 17:00 and each session is one hour long; your specific session time will be confirmed by email. Spaces are limited to keep groups small, so please contact the organiser for booking information, session availability and any questions about accessibility or additional support needs.
