A Cup of Calm

Thu, 23 Apr 2026 12:00 PM - 13:30 PM

Weavering St, Maidstone, ME14 5JP

Overview

A Cup of Calm is a welcoming, monthly peer support group for anyone bereaved by suicide. Held at the Fox and Goose in Maidstone, this informal gathering offers a gentle, compassionate space to connect with others who understand the unique challenges of suicide loss. Whether your loss is recent or from years past, the group provides comfort, companionship and a chance to be among people who truly get it.

These meetings are relaxed and pressure free. There is no requirement to speak; you can simply sit, listen and share refreshments while being in a safe, understanding environment. The venue is wheelchair accessible and has designated parking spaces, making it easier for many people to attend.

The event is hosted by Amparo and supported by their staff, who will be available to speak with attendees privately if needed. For further support following a bereavement by suicide, you can visit Amparo: https://amparo.org.uk/ or contact the event organiser for more information. For enquiries about this specific group, please contact Jen Harper at karen.ager@listening-ear.co.uk.

A Cup of Calm aims to reduce stigma, offer mutual understanding and provide a steady, monthly opportunity to find comfort and community with others who have shared similar experiences. If you are grieving a loss to suicide and are looking for a calm, supportive space, you are welcome to join this group.
