Overview

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is a world-leading, evidence-based two-day suicide prevention course delivered in person at The Alexander Centre, Preston Street, Faversham, UK. This accredited, interactive workshop is approved by the World Health Organisation and is built on four decades of research and practice. It equips participants with a practical model for suicide first-aid and the confidence to intervene safely and effectively when someone is at risk.

ASIST is essential for professionals who may encounter individuals with thoughts of suicide, including those working in health and social care, education, human resources and law enforcement. The training is delivered by two experienced trainers and focuses on attitudes and feelings about suicide, learning the intervention model on day one, and developing understanding and practising interventions on day two. Through role play, group exercises and guided practice, delegates leave with skills they can apply immediately in their workplace or community. If you are seeking accredited suicide prevention training in Faversham that prioritises practical skills, evidence-based practice and compassionate intervention, this ASIST course provides recognised, high-quality preparation for anyone supporting people in crisis.
