Beginners Birdwatching Walk - Leysdown

Join a gentle Beginners Birdwatching Walk around Leysdown to celebrate the change of seasons during the Easter Holidays. This relaxed coastal stroll is ideal for anyone interested in learning more about coastal wildlife, whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced birder. The walk gives plenty of time to stop and observe the birds and other wildlife along the shoreline, with friendly guidance to help you identify species and learn basic fieldcraft.

Meeting point is outside The Garden Cafe on Shellness Road, Leysdown-On-Sea, Sheppey. Parking is available on Shellness Road and there are toilet and food and drink facilities in Leysdown and sometimes at the cafe if it is open. The route is an out and back along the pathway on the sea wall. Paths are fairly flat but can be muddy after rain, so please wear suitable footwear. Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead to avoid disturbing wildlife. The walk is free to attend but spaces are limited, so please book your spot to avoid disappointment.
