Hosted by the Smarden Local History Society, this illustrated talk will trace the dockyard's development, its role in Britain’s maritime story and the human stories behind its walls. It is ideal for anyone with an interest in local history, maritime heritage or the industrial past.
The event takes place at The Charter Hall, 2 Chessenden Lane, Smarden, Kent TN27 8NF on Thursday March 26th. Doors open at 6:45 pm and the talk starts at 7:30 pm. Guests are very welcome and there will be an opportunity to ask questions after the presentation.
