Crown & Root is an open, all-welcome day celebrating alternative folk vibes, live music and mindful living in The Oak Grove. Expect a relaxed festival atmosphere with live acoustic sets, untuned and experimental sounds, and opportunities to meet local practitioners offering soulful, nature-focused experiences. Whether you come to listen, learn or simply unwind, the event is designed to be gentle, welcoming and community minded.
Entry to the gathering is free; you only pay for the classes or workshops you choose to join. Bookable activities run on a first-come, first-served basis and include yoga, qigong, Pilates, crystal healing, reiki, tarot and oracle readings, reflexology, medium sessions, runes work, crystal singing bowls, twisted drumming, sound sanctuary and a sober dance to close the day. Workshops include rune symbolism, writing a bind, mediumship sessions and aura photography. Payments are taken on the day by cash and card, though some practitioners may be cash only. There is a cashpoint in the village at the local Co-op.
Food and soft drinks will be available to purchase throughout the day. This is a sober event. Free parking is provided at the venue and car sharing is encouraged to help protect the woodland setting. Bring a yoga mat or blanket, cushions, comfortable shoes for uneven ground and warm layers for outdoor activities. Come prepared to settle in, move gently through the programme and enjoy a restorative day rooted in music, craft and wellness.
