Hilton Dr, Sittingbourne, ME10 1PT
Join fellow OPAL schools for an afternoon visit to Grove Park Primary School in Sittingbourne, Kent, and see playtime transformed into a vital part of primary education. This regional network meeting is for schools currently enrolled in the OPAL Primary Programme and offers practical inspiration from a school that achieved OPAL Platinum in summer 2025. Observe engaging, outdoor play in action as children build dens, explore water and sand, develop wheeled play skills and take managed risks under a strong play offer led by a committed OPAL working group.
The session includes a welcome from the OPAL curriculum lead and mentor, time to ask questions of the play coordinator and curriculum lead, and the opportunity to network with other like-minded schools. Tea and coffee will be provided and you are welcome to bring a nut-free lunch. Please note that places are limited and only two tickets per school are available, so book early and notify organisers if you cannot attend so your place can be released to another school.
Grove Park Primary is a 400-pupil school with excellent outdoor provision, including a loose-parts shed and gardening club. There is a car park at the school, with additional street parking nearby. The school is approximately a 10-minute taxi ride or a 35-minute walk from Sittingbourne station. Please dress for being outdoors in all weathers.
Tickets can be purchased via this third-party website.
