Faversham Macknade to Boughton Walk

Sat, 02 May 2026 08:30 AM - 13:30 PM

Overview

Join Boots on Adventures for a guided 10-mile circular walk from Faversham on Saturday 2 May 2026. Meet at Faversham train station car park (off The Mall, ME13 8LF) at 09:15 for a 09:25 start; the walk lasts about 5.5 hours including a lunch break and covers roughly 16 km over mixed terrain. The route passes the well-known Macknade Farm Shop before opening into traditional Kent orchards and farmland, with hedgerows and spring blossom at their best in early May.

Along the way you will pass Boughton Court Farm, the peaceful grounds of St Peter and St Paul Church in Boughton, a golf course, and quiet village lanes that skirt the elegant Mount Ephraim Gardens. The walk continues through Herne Hill with its magnificent old oak, then across Wey Street Farm and Langdon Court to Goodnestone, an area steeped in Kent's hop growing history, before returning to Faversham. The pace is sociable and the difficulty moderate, so it is well suited to regular walkers who are happy with some undulating ground.

Led by experienced walk leader Ian Henderson, this outing offers a wonderful spring day outdoors, a chance to enjoy blossoming orchards and historic villages, and to explore quieter paths around north Kent. Please note car parking charges are not included. For the exact meeting point see what3words ///ratty.bespoke.list.
