Faversham to Goodnestone and Graveney

Join a guided countryside walk on Wednesday 25 February 2026 exploring the landscape around Faversham, Goodnestone and Graveney. Meet at Faversham Recreation Ground, Park Road, at 10:00 AM for a 10:15 AM start. The circular route covers approximately 11.2 km (7 miles) and takes around four hours including a lunch break, making it ideal for walkers who enjoy gentle exploration, local history and classic Kentish scenery.

Along the way you will pass hop fields, orchards and traditional farming landscapes that reflect the areas agricultural heritage, and visit Goodnestone Church and Graveney Church for moments of history and quiet. The walk joins the Saxon Shore Way to follow historic boatyards and the Wharf before returning to Faversham. Terrain includes some field crossings and may be muddy depending on the weather; difficulty is easy to moderate with gentle gradients. Walk leader Ian Henderson will guide the group.
