Fish and Chat at Holm Place, Minster on Sea, Sheerness ME12 3EU is a welcoming, supportive session for adults who want to enjoy fishing while improving their mental health and wellbeing. These sessions are designed for people living with long term health conditions or anyone at risk of social isolation. Whether you are completely new to fishing or want to improve your skills, qualified coaches are on hand to support your learning and to help create a calm, friendly environment. All equipment, bait and licences are provided so you can focus on learning and relaxing by the water. Participants spend three hours fishing followed by a relaxed group gathering over a cuppa and homemade cake, giving time to chat about the day and life in general. The social element is an important part of the session, offering a chance to meet others and build confidence in a safe, non-judgemental setting. These sessions are funded by Live Well Kent and Medway and participants will be encouraged to self refer to enable attendance at future activities.
