Fish and Chat at Holm Place, Minster on Sea is a relaxed, supportive fishing session for adults designed to boost mental health and wellbeing, support people with long term health conditions and reduce social isolation. Qualified coaches provide friendly, patient guidance and all the necessary equipment, bait and licences so you can focus on enjoying the experience beside the water.
Each session includes three hours of fishing followed by time together over a cuppa and homemade cake, giving participants a chance to chat about the day and life in general in a welcoming, non-judgemental setting. Sessions are funded by Live Well Kent and Medway, and attendees are encouraged to self refer so they can access ongoing support and future activities.
Whether you are new to fishing or want to improve your skills, these sessions combine practical coaching with informal peer support in a peaceful outdoor location at Sheerness, ME12 3EU. The group atmosphere makes it easy to meet new people and build confidence while taking part in a healthy outdoor pastime. For more information about dates and how to self refer please contact the organisers at Cast A Thought or visit the Live Well Kent and Medway pages for referral details.
