Fish and Chat - West Kent

Fish and Chat is a relaxed, friendly session for adults designed to support mental health and wellbeing, help people living with long term conditions and reduce social isolation. Taking place at Mousehole Fishery on Maidstone Road in Nettlestead (ME18 5HR), the sessions are ideal whether you want to learn a new skill or improve your existing fishing techniques. Qualified coaches are on hand throughout to offer guidance and encouragement, and all equipment, bait and licences are provided so you can focus on enjoying the day.

Each session includes three hours of fishing followed by a shared cuppa and homemade cake, giving everyone a chance to chat about the day and life in general in a supportive, non-judgemental environment. Funded by Live Well Kent and Medway, these sessions encourage participants to self refer so they can continue to access future activities. Fish and Chat offers gentle outdoor activity, social connection and practical coaching in one session, making it a good choice for beginners and experienced anglers alike. Join to meet others, build confidence, learn new skills and spend restorative time by the water.
