FREE taster session with the Rochester Rock Choir

Join the Rochester Rock Choir for a FREE taster session on Monday 11 May 2026 from 20:00 to 21:30. This welcoming rehearsal is ideal for beginners and experienced singers alike and offers a chance to sing pop, rock and Motown songs in a comfortable, unauditioned environment. Sessions are led by Kent-based musician and teacher Paul Gostling and are designed to suit a range of abilities while focusing on fun, technique and group harmony.

The choir runs 10+ rehearsals a term with commitments organised around the main holiday periods, making it easy to fit singing into a busy life. The Rochester Rock Choir regularly supports local and national charities and offers performance opportunities, flash mobs and community gigs. Many members enjoy shared experiences such as festival and TV performances, and families are welcome — one member describes singing alongside her 12 year old daughter as a wonderful shared activity.
