About this event

Join a guided birdwatching walk at KWT Oare Marshes Reserve as part of the Great Coastal Birdwatch running from 17 October to 1 November 2026. This gentle guided walk around Oare Marshes in Faversham, Kent is suitable for all abilities, from complete beginners to experienced birders, and is a great way to learn about autumn migration and the wild birds that visit the estuary.

Walks are circular and follow fairly flat paths, though they can be muddy after rain so please wear suitable footwear. Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead to avoid disturbing wildlife. The meeting point is the main reserve car park at Oare Marshes Reserve, Church Road, Faversham ME13 0QA. There are no toilet facilities on site; the nearest are in the village pubs, the café or at the Sainsbury's superstore.

Attendance is free but spaces are limited, so book to secure your place. Final confirmation and joining instructions will be emailed 24 hours before the walk. Whether you are new to birdwatching or want to refresh your skills, this guided walk offers excellent opportunities to spot and hear a variety of species while enjoying the scenery of one of Kent's best coastal reserves.
