Overview

Ian Stone is “Looking for the Wow”, a live comedy show from an award-winning broadcaster, podcaster and writer who has become one of the most engaging voices in UK stand-up. In this new show Stone asks why life must settle for the humdrum, the mundane and the routine before the inevitable slide to disease, decay and death, and he sets out on a comic hunt for those moments of genuine wonder. Expect sharp observational material, personal anecdotes and the relaxed authority of a performer who has taken one-man shows to packed rooms at the Edinburgh Festival and across the UK.

Stone won the Spirit of the Fringe Award in 2023 and recently made his debut at the Melbourne Comedy Festival. He brought his last tour to a sell-out finale at London’s Comedy Store and has built a large online following with popular social posts and reels. As well as stand-up, Ian co-hosted Rock ‘N’ Roll Football on Absolute Radio and now presents the twice-weekly Arsenal podcast Handbrake Off, which gets around 50k downloads per episode. He is also a regular contributor on Times Radio and the author of To Be Someone, published in 2020 and widely praised by readers.

Join Ian Stone for an entertaining evening of thought-provoking and laugh-out-loud material as he searches for the small, the strange and the brilliant sparks that lift life out of the ordinary.
