Celebrate International Women's Day 2026 at Hempstead House Hotel and Spa with an inspiring day of talks, discussion and connection. Hosted by Diversity House, Centre for Women & Girls' Innovation and Empowerment (CWGIE), this in-person event embraces the 2026 theme "Give to Gain" and highlights the power of collective action, generosity and shared progress in advancing gender equality.
Expect keynote addresses from influential leaders, thought-provoking panels on empowerment and leadership, and opportunities to hear from voices across community development, education and public service. The programme is designed to inform and motivate whether you work in the public, private or voluntary sector, or are passionate about community change.
Speakers include Josephine McCartney, CEO of The Childhood Trust; Cllr Mary Lawes, KCC Deputy Cabinet Member for Communities; Dr Anke Franz, Head of Psychology and related disciplines; and Mrs Victoria Wallace DL, Representative of the Lord Lieutenant of Kent. Alongside talks there will be time for networking, discussion and sharing practical ideas to create lasting impact.
