Experience an evening of authentic blues with Grammy winner Jimmy Carpenter at The Old Brewery Store in Faversham on Wednesday 3 June 2026. Doors open at 19:00. This is a rare chance to see one of the most in-demand horn players and band leaders performing material from his acclaimed catalogue and his latest album Just Got Started.

Just Got Started, released on Gulf Coast Records, opened to rave reviews and debuted at number 3 on Apple Blues and number 10 on the Billboard Blues Chart. Produced by multiple award-winning producer Kid Anderson and recorded at Greaseland Studio in San Jose, it is the sixth in a series of critically praised releases and his third on Gulf Coast following The Louisiana Record (1922) and Soul Doctor (2019). In 2025 Jimmy received his tenth Blues Music Award nomination for Best Instrumentalist/Horn, having won the award in 2021 and 2022. He also has a Grammy credit for co-writing a track on The New Orleans Nightcrawlers' winning album Atmosphere.

A professional musician since 1980, Jimmy tours internationally with his own band and performs as a member of Bill Murray & His Blood Brothers. He is Musical Director of The Big Blues Bender and maintains a long-running presence in Las Vegas at The Sand Dollar. The Old Brewery Store will provide additional seating for comfort.
