Kids Kayaking 12/08/2026

Bring your children to Kids Kayaking on 12 August 2026 and let them discover paddlesport fun on the River Medway. This after-school taster session is a friendly introduction to kayaking, ideal for youngsters who want to try something new, meet other kids and build confidence on the water. If conditions are not suitable for being on the river, organisers will run engaging land-based activities so every child has an enjoyable time.

Sessions focus on safe, supervised experiences with instructors who introduce basic paddling techniques and water awareness in a relaxed environment. Please ensure children wear old clothes that can get wet and appropriate footwear such as trainers or water shoes. Flip flops and crocs are not suitable and participants wearing them will not be able to take part. Do not forget a towel and a change of dry clothing for afterwards.

The venue is at 171-173 Pier Road, Gillingham, Kent ME7 1UB on the banks of the River Medway. Places are limited so early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. This is a great opportunity to encourage an active outdoor hobby, make new friends and try a new skill in a safe, fun setting. Price: £15.00 per child.
