Kids Kayaking 24/06/2026

Join Medway Watersports for Kids Kayaking on 24 June 2026, a friendly after-school paddlesport session on the River Medway designed for young people who are new to kayaking. The session is ideal for beginners and focuses on basic paddling skills, water confidence and safety while giving children the chance to meet new friends and enjoy outdoor activity. If the weather is not suitable for being on the water, qualified instructors will run fun land-based activities instead.

Participants should wear old clothes and appropriate footwear such as trainers or water shoes. Flip flops and crocs are not suitable and will prevent participation. Please bring a towel and a change of dry clothes for afterwards. All necessary equipment and instruction are provided by the Medway Watersports team, and activities are adapted to the group to ensure a safe and supportive experience.

The session takes place at Medway Watersports, 171-173 Pier Road, Gillingham, Kent ME7 1UB. The cost is £15.00 per child. Spaces are limited, so book early to secure a place and give your child a positive introduction to kayaking on the Medway.
