Join a relaxed and inspiring Lampshade Making Workshop at Belmont House and Gardens in Faversham, Kent. This hands-on session guides you step by step as you design and construct a 30cm drum lampshade to match your upholstery, curtains, wallpaper or any room theme. The finished shade can be used as a pendant or ceiling light, or fitted to a suitable table lamp, and will connect to UK and European lamp holders or pendant fittings.
You will work in pairs, which makes the process easier and sociable, with expert guidance from Gilli of MadeAmazing. Using a professional kit, all necessary tools and most materials are provided. Light refreshments will be available during the session, so you can focus on crafting and creativity.
Please bring your chosen covering either as wallpaper or fabric measuring 970mm x 255mm high with the pattern repeat running vertically. The workshop is suitable for beginners and experienced makers alike, and the tutor will support you through each stage to ensure a high quality result to take home.
