Little Stars is a friendly, specialist group for babies aged 0 to 2 years in Maidstone. These six-week sessions are designed to support early social and communication development and are ideal for families looking for targeted, practical strategies to help their little ones thrive. The programme runs under 21 Together's Education team and focuses on building confidence for both children and carers.
Sessions cover Makaton signing, interaction techniques, early physical skills and emotional support, with plenty of opportunity to socialise with other parents and carers. Activities are delivered in a relaxed, supportive environment to make it easy for families to practise new skills and ask questions in a welcoming setting.
Each session is tailored to the learning profile of babies with Down's syndrome, offering syndrome-specific advice, targeted support and guidance that families can use at home. The group format also creates a chance for shared learning and peer support, helping carers feel less isolated and better equipped to support development.
The Little Stars sessions run every other Tuesday from 21.04.26 to 14.07.26 (Term 3), 12:45 to 13:45, at Maidstone Community Support Centre, 38 Marsham Street, Maidstone ME14 1HH. Sessions cost £15 per session, payable at the start of the programme (£90 in total), and financial support is available for families who need it.
