Medway PSG Racket Skills Festival (yrs 3 and 4) Healthy Me

Schools are invited to take part in the Medway PSG Racket Skills Festival for Years 3 and 4, taking place on Thursday 23rd April 2026 at the Avenue Tennis Centre, Featherby Road, Gillingham, Kent ME8 6AN. There are two sessions available so schools can enter either the AM session (approximately 9.30am to 12 noon) or the PM session (approximately 12.30pm to 3.00pm). Please note session times may vary depending on the number of teams that enter.

The festival is aimed at pupils in Years 3 and 4 and promotes the Primary School Games values of Self Belief and Personal Challenge. Teams should consist of six girls and six boys and activities are organised across three racket skills areas, with three skills stations within each sport. The coaching programme is centred on Mini Tennis, Badminton and Table Tennis, delivered in two indoor sports halls with support from student sport leaders and experienced adult coaches and organisers to ensure an enjoyable and safe learning experience.

Spectators and parents are welcome to attend and watch. Schools wishing to enter or request further information should follow the event organiser's instructions when registering. The festival offers a fun, inclusive opportunity for primary pupils to develop racket skills, teamwork and sporting confidence in a friendly competitive environment.
