Medway Wind Band

Medway Wind Band welcomes woodwind, brass and percussion players of Grade 2 standard and above to join a friendly and ambitious ensemble based at Rainham Mark Grammar School, Pump Lane, Rainham, Gillingham ME8 7AJ. Rehearsals take place as part of MMA’s Saturday Music Centre and are led by the experienced conductor Graham Mann, offering a supportive environment for players to develop technique, musicality and ensemble skills.

The band’s varied programme includes stirring wind band classics, lively pop arrangements and memorable film and show tunes, providing opportunities to explore different styles and perform to local audiences. Double bass and bass guitar players are also welcome, adding depth to the group’s sound. Whether you are looking to build confidence, broaden your repertoire or play with like minded musicians, Medway Wind Band is a great way to keep making music in the Medway area.

New members are encouraged to come along and audition at Grade 2 level or above. Joining the band gives access to regular rehearsals, supportive coaching and the chance to take part in concerts and community events organised by the Medway Music Association.
