Medway Wind Band

Medway Wind Band welcomes woodwind, brass and percussion players of Grade 2 standard and above to join a friendly, ambitious ensemble in the heart of Medway. Double bass and bass guitar players are also welcome, making this a great opportunity for rhythm section musicians to add depth to a full wind band sound. The band is a vibrant community of young musicians led by Graham Mann.

Rehearsals take place every Saturday as part of MMA’s Saturday Music Centre at Rainham Mark Grammar School, Pump Lane, Rainham, Gillingham ME8 7AJ. The repertoire is varied and entertaining, ranging from stirring traditional wind band classics to toe-tapping pop hits and memorable film and show tunes. Players can expect supportive direction, ensemble training and chances to develop sight-reading, technique and musical confidence.

Whether you are returning to ensemble playing or looking to perform in a full wind band for the first time, Medway Wind Band offers regular rehearsals, a welcoming atmosphere and performance opportunities to showcase your progress.
