Mickeys Training Sunday

Mickeys Training Sunday is a friendly, practical cycling training session run by Southern Riders for riders who want to improve group riding skills, prepare for the RoSPA/RoADAR test, or simply build confidence on the road. The Training Ride School covers essential techniques and offers instructor-led sessions tailored to different abilities, with a focus on safe, enjoyable cycling.

Participants are invited to arrive early for coffee and a chat from 8:45am. Instructor allocation for initial assessments and ongoing training commences at 9:30am, so aim to be on time to get the most from your session. There is no need to book or register; simply turn up and join in. Please note that if the overnight temperature is 3C or below the session will be automatically cancelled. The club uses BBC Weather as its official source, so check BBC Weather before you travel.

Sessions are open to all club members and visiting riders, whether you are preparing for formal assessment or looking for guided practice in a supportive group. All members must carry their membership card on club activities. Turn up ready to ride, bring appropriate clothing and a roadworthy bike, and expect clear coaching, structured drills and the chance to ride with experienced instructors.
