Mini Museum Explorers: Mini Zulu Warriors

Mon, 13 Oct 2025 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Prince Arthur Rd, Gillingham, ME7 1UR

Overview

Mini Museum Explorers: Mini Zulu Warriors is a hands-on session at the Royal Engineers Museum designed for children under five and their parents, grandparents or carers. Each session explores a different part of the museum collection through play, stories, trails, crafts and simple science activities to encourage development, communication and curiosity about the Royal Engineers and the wider world. Sessions take place on the second Tuesday of each month in term time from 10am to 11am.

On Tuesday 13 October, Minis will travel back in time to discover the fascinating world of Zulu warriors. Young children will see beautiful Zulu artefacts on display and be able to handle selected safe items. Inspired by striking designs, participants will make their own colourful jewellery, beaded necklaces and headdresses using fun, safe materials. The session includes stories about Zulu life and traditions, opportunities to try on creations and a playful parade to celebrate creativity, movement and imaginative play.

Places are limited to 20 under fives so please book in advance. Price is A34 per session per child, with discounts available via the Snob loyalty card and free places for military families. Normal museum admission prices also apply. Book here: https://re-museum.digitickets.co.uk/event-tickets/35904?catID=35959&
