Mission Christmas

Step through the doors of the Dockyard secret substation and join Mission Christmas, a magical interactive family adventure at The Historic Dockyard Chatham. Journey through Elfenezer's Past, Present and Future as you take on festive challenges, search for the hidden magic keys and unlock the Golden Ledger to put Christmas back on course. This guided 45-minute story includes hands-on activities, sensory-friendly quiet sessions and a private meet and greet with Father Christmas for your booked group.

Every child ticket includes a wrapped gift and one complimentary professional photograph per booking group, with the opportunity to purchase further photos and a special Mission Christmas storybook after your visit. The Mess Deck Restaurant will be open for festive food and rich hot chocolate, and the Dockyard shop will be stocked with handmade gifts from the Master Ropemakers. Although the experience is indoors, buildings are at ambient temperature so please wrap up warm and wear your best Christmas jumpers.

Mission Christmas has been voted one of the best festive days out in the UK by The Guardian and runs on selected dates in November and December. Advanced booking online is essential as this is a separately ticketed event and annual Dockyard tickets are not valid for Mission Christmas. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, and capacity is limited to keep the experience calm and accessible. Book early to secure your family place and make this Christmas unforgettable.
