Join us for a monthly volunteer morning of gardening, litter picking and hedgerow clearing at Rochester Sensory Garden. This friendly session brings neighbours together to care for local parks and green spaces while enjoying fresh air and light exercise. No prior experience is needed and volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome, making it an ideal way to try community volunteering for the first time.
We provide gloves and basic equipment, though you are welcome to bring your own favourite tools. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Please note that the meeting point and some activity details have changed due to the temporary pier closure, so check signage on arrival. There is no need to book or register; simply turn up for the monthly session and join the team.
Volunteering with us is a practical way to support local conservation, improve park habitats and keep hedgerows and paths tidy for everyone to enjoy. You will meet fellow volunteers, learn simple gardening and litter-clearing techniques and make a visible difference to the community. Whether you want to help regularly or drop in occasionally, all contributions are appreciated. We look forward to seeing you at Rochester Sensory Garden.
