Musical Bumps is a gentle, relaxed music class for babies and preschool children in Rochester and wider Medway. Designed for newborns through to pre-school, the baby-specific sessions are suitable for 0-12 months while additional age-specific classes welcome children up to four years. Real musicians lead each session, using songs and lullabies to introduce rhythm, pitch and musical awareness in a friendly, low-pressure setting.
Sessions include singing, simple actions, movement, instruments and puppets to encourage interaction and fun. Classes are carefully planned to support early development, including social skills, early literacy and numeracy and school readiness, as well as those all-important musical skills. Expect lots of smiles, gentle routines and opportunities for parent and baby to bond through music and play.
Term-time weekly classes are held on Tuesdays at Kidzone, 661 Maidstone Road, Rochester, ME1 3QJ, on Wednesday mornings at Bredhurst Village Hall, ME7 3JZ and on Fridays at St Justus Church, Rochester, ME1 2LT. Classes must be booked in advance and there are no drop-ins. A £5 trial class is available and regular term classes are priced from around £7 per session.
