Give your child the chance to discover street dance with USDD KIDS in Gillingham. This paid trial is for children aged 6 to 11 years and runs at The Academy of Woodlands, Woodlands Road, Gillingham, Kent ME7 2DU. Classes focus on core technique, rhythm, confidence and stage presence while introducing styles such as hip hop, popping, locking, house, breaking and afro. From the very first session children begin to build performance skills and confidence in a supportive, professional environment.
Coaches Lexi Maize and Lyndon lead the classes and are fully DBS checked. Sessions last 1 hour 30 minutes, and students should wear joggers, tracksuits or leggings and bring water. USDD also offers performance and competition opportunities, monthly recognition for standout dancers and a Fast Track programme for pupils who want to progress to intermediate level, theatre performances and casting opportunities.
Spaces for beginner classes are limited and some sessions have waiting lists, so booking is recommended. The course fee is £60 for six weeks and the first session is available for £5 as a trial.
