Community Hub, Eastgate, Rochester, ME1 1EW
Join a screening of the Peoples Emergency Briefing, a 45-minute film featuring footage from last Novembers National Emergency Briefing where leading UK experts set out the latest evidence on how the climate and nature crisis is affecting everyday life in Britain. The film brings together climate science, food security, public health, economics, national security and nature to present a clear, measured overview of the risks and possible responses based on current research.
Following the screening there will be a 45-minute structured local discussion focused on what this evidence means for the Rochester community. The session is an opportunity to hear expert analysis, ask questions, and explore practical responses at a local level. Topics likely to be raised include impacts on food systems, health services, local infrastructure and biodiversity, and how communities can adapt and advocate effectively.
The event takes place on Monday 27 April at 7pm in Room 12, Medway Adult Education, Rochester Community Hub, Eastgate, Rochester, ME1 1EW. All are welcome to come along, learn more about the emergency briefing findings and take part in a respectful, action-oriented conversation about what the future might look like for our area.
