Join Pets at Home Gillingham on Sunday 12 April 2026 at 2:00 PM for Pet Pals - Easter, a free, fun and educational in-store workshop for children. These short sessions are designed to introduce young pet lovers to animal behaviour and wellbeing through hands-on activities and friendly guidance from trained Pet Care Advisors.
Children will explore different pet personalities and learn how to recognise when an animal is happy, comfortable or a little stressed. The workshop includes supervised handling of animals, a pet knowledge quiz, creative colouring and simple activities that explain how the right environment supports a pet's health and happiness.
By the end of the session each participant will receive an official Pet Pals certificate, a sticker and a character headband, plus activity sheets to continue learning at home. The event helps build confidence and encourages responsible pet ownership in a safe, family-friendly setting.
Sessions are aimed at children aged 4 to 10 years. To keep the experience calm for the animals, places are limited and we ask for one adult to supervise each child. Registration must be completed by an adult and parents should check for any allergies or sensitivities before attending.
