Advance your practical skills with the Pneumatic Conveying System Design advanced course, delivered by experts from The Wolfson Centre. This interactive two-day course covers modern techniques for designing reliable pipeline systems that deliver required throughput while minimising maintenance and product quality issues. The programme includes intensive case studies and practical exercises so delegates can apply learning directly to real-world challenges.
Sessions run from 09:00 to 17:00 each day and places are limited to six attendees to allow one-to-one teaching where applicable. Delegates should bring a laptop with Excel and a scientific calculator for calculation exercises. Key subjects include lean versus dense phase conveying, material characterisation and scaling, predicting pipeline pressure drop and throughput, the design and benefits of stepped bore pipelines, detailed analysis of bends, and air humidity effects and psychrometry.
The course is aimed at engineers and technical staff who design or trouble-shoot pneumatic conveying systems. It is suitable for those seeking a deeper, practical understanding beyond an introductory course and for professionals who want to harmonise company practice with current best practice to reduce warranty claims and user complaints. The course is delivered at the University of Greenwich Medway campus in Kent, ME4 4TB.
Course fee is £915 per delegate and discounted rates are available for group bookings and returning delegates. An in-company option is also offered for organisations that prefer tailored training at their own site.
