Practical Workshops – 2026

Join a focused week of hands-on practical workshops in bulk materials handling at the University of Greenwich Medway campus, running from 16 to 19 March 2026. Each day addresses a distinct topic: pneumatic conveying, powder flow behaviour and measurement, particle characterisation techniques and dust containment and filtration. Sessions combine short lectures with practical demonstrations and equipment trials so delegates can see methods in action and ask questions of subject experts.

Courses start at 10:00 and aim to finish by 15:30. Delegates are limited to a maximum of 10 per session to ensure high quality interaction and ample opportunity for practical use of industry-scale test rigs and laboratory instruments. Practical content covers measuring techniques, particle size and shape analysis, density measurements, segregation testing, and filter media evaluation among other demonstrations.

PPE such as overalls, masks and gloves will be provided but sensible covered low heeled footwear is required by delegates. Online registration is available through the organiser's shop and closes on 3 March 2026. Workshop places can be booked separately or added when booking related short courses; preference will be given to those attending both.

Fees are priced per workshop with reductions for multiple bookings: 1 workshop £485, 2 workshops £850, 3 workshops £1225 and 4 workshops £1400. For group bookings or bespoke arrangements contact the organisers for a quote.
