Social Hike | Woodland, Cows & Conversations

Join local singles for a relaxed 10K social hike around Rochester, Medway and Kent. This friendly Sunday morning walk sets out from Café Lumiere, a short stroll from Rochester station, and takes in Strood, Ranscombe Farm Nature Reserve and Cobham Woods as we make our way towards the historic Mausoleum. The route combines urban streets with peaceful woodland and offers a good chance of spotting some Highland cows along the way.

We will meet at 11:00 outside Café Lumiere and aim to reach Cobham Woods in around an hour to an hour and a half, leaving time to chat and get to know each other. There will be a 30 to 45 minute break at the Mausoleum before returning to Rochester, with the whole morning expected to take about three hours. The walk is informal rather than strenuous, so trainers are fine, but parts of the route may be muddy or uneven. Bring water and anything you might want for the break. The organiser will bring sweets to share.

The walk itself is free, but a £4.50 Eventbrite registration helps cover running costs and secures your place. Numbers are limited, so please register in advance.
