Southern Area Dan Grading - May 2026

Prepare for your next grade at the Southern Area (Kent) Dan Gradings on Sunday 24 May at Medway Park, Mill Road, Gillingham, ME7 1HF. Booking in starts at 9:30 am for all grades, with the grading beginning at 10:00 am. This event is open to male and female competitors from 1st kyu through to 4th dan.

All gradings are held with the Southern Area Promotions Sub-committee in attendance and will be supported by national and international referees and first aid provision to ensure a fair and safe assessment. If time permits, Skills Theory examinations can also be arranged on the day; please note theory exams are payable in cash on the day and should be organised in advance.

Pre-booking is required online via www.sajudo.org.uk/calendar by clicking the date of the grading. Early bird booking is available at £20.00 and closes three weeks before the event. Standard pre-booking is £25.00 and closes two weeks before the grading, with late pre-booking at £30.00 closing two days prior. Entries on the day are generally not permitted unless authorised by the organiser and are charged at £35.
