The Cookery Cabin - Little Cooks

Little Cooks at The Cookery Cabin offers hands-on, child-friendly cooking classes for 4 to 7 year olds at Rodmersham Village Hall in Sittingbourne, Kent. Each week children prepare their own sweet or savoury dish from scratch, using a wide range of baking techniques. Sessions are designed to be practical and fun, so young cooks get plenty of experience chopping, whisking and weighing ingredients.

Classes encourage independence by asking each child to weigh out at least one ingredient every week. While the food cooks, the group explores where different ingredients come from and enjoys tasting samples. The sessions also sneak in learning across the curriculum, with simple maths, reading, science and geography woven into the recipes and activities to build confidence and understanding.
