The Gruffalo – Free Family Workshop

Bring the family to Maidstone Museum for The Gruffalo free family workshop, an inviting and creative session inspired by Julia Donaldson's much-loved story. Children and their grown-ups can enjoy storytelling, hands-on crafts and playful activities that bring the forest characters to life. The workshop is designed to support imaginative play and early literacy, offering simple, tactile projects that suit a range of ages and abilities.

This free event provides a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere where little ones can make Gruffalo-themed creations, explore colours and textures, and take part in group story moments. It is ideal for a memorable family day out in Maidstone, whether you are visiting or live locally. Activities are structured to focus on fun, inclusion and creativity. Spaces may be limited, so check the museum event page for any booking or attendance details before you go. Come prepared for a morning of crafts, stories and plenty of Gruffalo fun.
