Urban Design Social: Rochester

Wed, 04 Mar 2026 17:00 PM - 20:00 PM

10 St Margaret's St, Rochester, ME1 1TL

Overview

Join fellow urban designers, architects, planners and anyone who cares about the quality of life in our towns and cities for an informal Urban Design Social in Rochester. Held in the front bar of The Coopers Arms, this evening meet-up is a relaxed chance to chat about place-making, public space, active travel, and practical ideas for shaping better neighbourhoods. Whether you work professionally in the built environment or are simply curious about how design affects daily life, you are very welcome to come along, grab a drink and take part in the conversation.

The event is hosted by Scott Adams, Executive Committee Member of the Urban Design Group and Partner at BPTW, and is part of a series of friendly socials that have run in other towns such as Oxford. There is no membership requirement and everyone is encouraged to invite colleagues or friends who might enjoy the discussion. Expect practical stories, new connections and the chance to share projects and questions with people who care about making places that work. Arrive ready to network, swap ideas and leave inspired to shape better places where you live and work.
