Join a gentle guided walk at Tyland Barn to gather leaves and natural items and create vibrant leaf artwork using the traditional technique of Hapa Zome. Weekend Wellness: Mindful Walk and Leaf Printing is designed to help you slow down, connect with nature and try a creative outdoor activity suitable for beginners.
Led by a member of Kent Wildlife Trust's Wellbeing Team, the session begins with a relaxed, mindful walk around the reserve to spot plants and collect materials. Returning to a sheltered workspace you will use simple tools and the Hapa Zome process to transfer colour and texture from plant material onto fabric or paper, producing unique prints inspired by the local landscape. All materials and tools are provided, and the activity is presented in an accessible, encouraging way.
This restorative event brings together fresh air, gentle movement and hands on creativity, so it is ideal if you want to boost wellbeing, try a new hobby or simply spend time outdoors. Please come dressed for the weather and wear comfortable footwear suitable for walking, as the session takes place outside. Bring a waterproof if rain is forecast and come prepared to enjoy a calm, creative morning at Tyland Barn.
