About this event

Enjoy a magical family day this October half-term at Jeskyns, Gravesend, with Storytime featuring Gruffalo Granny. On Saturday 31 October 2026, 10.00 to 16.00, hear the brand-new Gruffalo story from Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler and join storytelling sessions throughout the day.

Meet The Gruffalo in person with scheduled appearances and storytelling at intervals. Appearance and storytelling times are listed on the event page and may change, so please check the latest timetable before you travel. This is a free, outdoors event in the community forest, so dress for the weather.

Families can explore woodland trails, play areas and a range of outdoor activities, making the day ideal for children, pushchairs and well behaved dogs. There is a cafe onsite for refreshments and plenty of spots for picnics, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for all ages.

Entry is free and open to local families and visitors to Gravesend. The event is perfect for pre-school and primary-age children who love stories and nature play. Visit the event page for full timetable details, meeting points and any updates to appearances and storytelling sessions.
