Unit 1C, Faversham, ME13 8GE
Join Bindfulness Handmade Books for a Mixed Media Cross Stitch bookbinding workshop in Faversham and learn traditional stitching combined with creative collage techniques. In this small group session you will make a hard cover mixed media book stitched and bound with the beautiful visible patterned XXs of Cross Stitch on the spine, creating a one-off journal that showcases your personal papers and found materials alongside papers provided in the workshop.
This hands-on day is ideal for anyone curious about bookbinding, textiles or paper craft. All tools and materials are included, and expert tuition guides you through each stage so you leave with a finished handbound book, new skills and the satisfaction and wellbeing of a creative day out. Tea and coffee are provided and the relaxed, friendly Creative Courses space encourages experimentation and meeting like-minded makers.
The venue has plenty of parking and is around a 15 minute walk from Faversham train station. Please note the workshop is on the first floor of Unit 1C and there is no lift. If you cannot make the listed date you can contact the organiser to arrange a bespoke bookbinding workshop for two. Whether you are a complete beginner or have some experience, this workshop offers a practical, inspiring introduction to mixed media bookbinding and cross stitch techniques.
