Workshop: Pamphlet Books and Punching Cradle

Join Bindfulness Handmade Books for a hands-on bookbinding workshop in Faversham at Creative Courses Kent. Over the day you will make a punching cradle, a practical tool that helps you pierce the folds of paper consistently, and then use it straightaway to stitch a collection of four pamphlet books. The day is suited to beginners and anyone who enjoys making things by hand in a relaxed, friendly environment.

The tutor will demonstrate a variety of stitches so you can experiment with different binding styles and leave with a small library of handbound books. You will take home your punching cradle, the pamphlet books you make, clear skills you can repeat at home, and the satisfaction and well-being that come from a creative day spent learning.

Creative Courses is a new multi use creative space where tea and coffee, quality teaching and materials are provided. There is plenty of parking and the venue is about a 15-minute walk from Faversham train station. Please note the workshop is on the first floor of Unit 1C and there is no lift.
